Really Poppin!

A couple months later, I had gained even a little more weight. It all seemed to go right to my belly. Whenever I walked, my belly jiggled up and down, and it made me self conscious. Dan got this idea that he saw for sale online- it was called a “belly band” and used for support. However, it was marketed to women who were pregnant or post partum, and I was neither. I was just way too big around the middle!  He bought me one, and I tried it on.  I had to strap it above and below my entire midsection, and lift my whole belly up to do so. When I fastened it all up, my poor tummy just *really* popped out far!  I actually looked like I was pregnant.  It definitely felt better to wear it, though. There was no jiggling when I walked, and I had no lower back pain. But my belly stuck so far out from how much it was being lifted that Dan went out and bought me maternity clothes. We only had enough money for two dresses and one pair of pants with a top. But with my old clothing already being such a tight squeeze before the belly band, there was no way they would fit around me with it on underneath. I tended to like the maternity dresses better. Before long, the inevitable happened. Someone asked us when I was due. I simply put my hand at the end of my bulging midsection and said June, even though it was April. She told me, “Wow!  Are you sure there’s only one in there?”  Dan snickered out loud. He tickled my sides right in front of this woman and said, “Only one!  And a lot of food!”  I blushed so hard. The woman told us congratulations, and when she left, Dan poked my middle and joked that she thought I had twins. I grabbed the end of my enormous middle again and exclaimed, “How embarrassing!”

Dan said, “Now I gotta put a real baby in there and see how big it really gets!”

“No!” I said laughing hysterically.  “I’d probably actually pop!”

“Poor belly already looks like it’s about to pop!”

He pushed me onto the bed and tickled my big belly hard. I laughed hysterically as it jiggled up and down. Then I tried to get up from the bed, but I was so fat I had to roll to one side to be able to. I took off my belly band and put the maternity dresses back on and just let it jiggle as I walked.
